How you came to the conclusion that the performances are weak, is beyond comprehension. Truely great work from all actors in this unusual movie (I agree, although I mean this in a good sense) with a bleak story. I especially liked Toby Wallace as the young boy, who delivered an unusually impressive performance, seldom seen in any movie.
